Privacy Policy

Personal privacy is a subject we are quite passionate about, and we are keen to help you preserve your own. This is how we will do it.

Legal compliance

We fully comply with the United Kingdom Data Protection Act and the General Data Protection Regulation.

Storage of data

Our website is hosted on a server which utilises the latest security software and we make every reasonable effort to keep it-to-date.

Any information stored on our computers is fully encrypted. The computers themselves are kept in a secure environment.

Transmission of data

Our website uses SSL (secure socket layer) encryption. This means that any communications that you send to our website, or receive from it, are encrypted. This prevents unauthorised people from intercepting these transmissions and reading them, or altering them.

Data that we collect

We have access to information about every visit to our website. This includes details about the visitor's journey through our site, and tells us when this visitor arrived, which pages were visited, and how long was spent on each page. We have also got access to other factors such as the type of device used to access the site, the browser, the operating system, and the screen size, as well as several other very minor factors. We could not personally identify any visitor by using this data, even if we wanted to (which we don't).

One factor which could conceivably be used to identify you, and which we have access to, is the IP address that you were using when you visited the site. In order to do this we would need to obtain data from your Internet service provider. It is inconceivable, however, that any ISP would provide this information without a specific court order. it would, in any case, be an extremely difficult thing to do, and perhaps impossible. Nevertheless it should be borne in mind that it is theoretically possible for someone to be identified in this way.

However, unless obliged to do so by an authoritative law enforcement agency, we will not divulges any information whatsoever to any other person unless:

Information provided to other companies

As mentioned above, we do not provide information ourselves to other companies. We shall not sell, lease, or transfer any data that we hold about you for any commercial reasons whatsoever. However, there are links on our website to other businesses. If you click on one of these links you will leave this website and be transferred to another, which is owned and operated by a different company. This company may well require information from you in order to provide you with quotations or other services. We have no access to the data that these other companies gather. You should check the privacy policies of these companies to make sure that they offer you adequate protection.

Privacy laws in Europe and the United Kingdom require us to ask your permission before storing personal information on cookies. We do not use cookies on this website, and we therefore do not need to ask for this permission. We may however use cookies in the future; in which case they will be used solely to make our site more user friendly. If we decide to do this, a statement to this effect will be added to this privacy policy.

Your rights of disclosure

You are entitled to ask any UK company which holds data on you to give you a copy of this data, subject to the payment of a reasonable fee. If you wish us to provide you with this, please use our contact page to get in touch with us and we will do so within a reasonable time.

Deletion of your data

We will be happy to delete any data we hold about you on our computer systems upon receiving a confirmed request from you.

What happens if you contact us

If you contact us by e-mail, post or telephone we will store a record of our conversations on our computer system. This record will be used solely to assist us in answering your queries and we will not under any circumstances use any information you provide us with to send you spam messages. If you wish us to delete all records of our communications then we will be happy to do so within a reasonable space of time.

Alterations to this privacy policy

We reserve the right to make alterations to this policy at any time.

Please be aware that the articles on this site are written by mothers who are discussing their own experiences and their own opinions. They do not, and are not meant to, represent professional advice and should be read with that point firmly in mind.

Our children’s welfare is paramount; if you are ever in the slightest doubt about any aspect of caring for a child you are urged to seek qualified, specialist advice from a professional advisor.
